The Human Spirit (Short Review)

How far would you go to escape from a life anticipated as discrimination? For Coleman Silk it means forging a lifelong lie. Filled with betrayal, love, and desperation “The Human Spirit” is a triumph of deeper meanings. Mature with all of its threads at face value I walked away from this film toughly entertained. Refusing to pander to melodrama yet with just enough passion to satisfy those who enjoy a window into the lives of struggling minorities, I can safely say that if there is any fault with the movie it is the lack of profound flaws. While sad the tale is believable and will give anyone a taste of another life, however briefly.
